Anjana, who lives at TIGERS sanctuary in South Carolina, instantly took the two cubs in as her own. She even helped bottle feed them. But here’s the truly amazing part… being a surrogate mom is nothing new to miss Anjana. She does this all the time.
Yes, Anjana helps raise leopard and lion cubs that have lost their mothers.
Together, with China York, the care taker at The Institute of Greatly Endangered Species in South Carolina, Anjana has been helping raise leopard and lion cubs that have lost their mothers since the day she was born.
“Anjana has been with China, side by side, ever since she was born and has joined her in caring and raising baby animals,” said Dr Bhagavan, founder of TIGERS. Quite literally, Anjana was born to be a mama to all that need her.
